Space Gallery Denver Wedding
Tanaya and Nikko got married at Space Gallery in Denver and their day was nothing short of amazing! One thing is for sure: these two got something good and they know it. After 9 years together, it was so sweet to see how excited they were to get married AND to see the peace that filled the little moments they shared throughout the day.
We started the day with some iconic getting ready moments. If this is what the getting ready photos look like… you know the rest of the day is about to be insane.
When Tanaya put her dress on, my jaw was on the floor! The asymmetrical look with that slit… a fashion icon! Plus, she changed things up throughout the day with different sleeve options and a veil… yeah, you’ll want to keep scrolling.
Once everyone was ready, we met up at a park for Tanaya’s first look with her dad and the couple’s first look and vows. You can have the best of both worlds on your wedding day: private vows and a ceremony with all of your family and friends! I love that these two chose to do it this way.
During Tanaya and Nikkos’s first look, you could hear their wedding party cheering them on in the background and the energy didn’t stop during wedding party photos! Their people love them and brought the best energy all day long. The ultimate hype crew!
When I was location scouting before the wedding, I was looking for a nearby park to take photos at and was so excited when I found this basketball court. How cool is the design? A lot of couples would veto taking their wedding photos on a basketball court, but when I pitched the idea to Tanaya and Nikko, they fully trusted the vision. I love how the mural on the court pairs with the art gallery vibes from the venue! 10/10.
Space Gallery is a unique Denver wedding venue because it actually is an art gallery and it’s located on Santa Fe Drive in Denver’s art district. The modern architecture and art on display is incredible!
The couple’s ceremony was held in the outdoor space at Space Gallery. Remember how I mentioned their wedding party brought the energy? The ceremony was no exception! I wish you could have heard cheers and hollers throughout the whole thing.
You’ve heard of a second dress, but what about a second look for the bride’s hair? After the ceremony, Tanaya CUT HER HAIR! The whole wedding party was in the back storage room while she changed up her look and honestly, I think it was more of a party than the actual cocktail hour! Shots while you get your hair cut at your wedding? Duh. Tanaya rocked both looks and I love how fun the short hair was for the reception.
Space Gallery is a great wedding venue because it offers multiple spaces that allows for smooth transitions from ceremony, to cocktail hour, to reception. Plus, who doesn’t love an indoor-outdoor concept?
At this point in the day we had taken photos on an epic basketball court and inside an art gallery. I thought it couldn’t get much better, but it did! We stepped out of the venue and I followed the light until we found that golden glow. Absolute magic!
Tanaya and Nikko’s reception was so much fun! What’s your wedding day if not an excuse to party with your people? I’ll let the photos speak for themselves.
I drove home from this wedding with so much gratitude! Days like these are why I love my job. If you’re interested in learning more about what it’s like to work with me, I’d love to hear from you! Just head to my contact form.
Cheers to Tanaya and Nikko forever!
