Mexico Wedding at Breathless Riviera Cancun
A beach front ceremony, an incredible sunset and a rooftop reception overlooking the ocean: Those are just a few of the highlights from Jackson and Ashley’s wedding in Cancun, Mexico!
When these two asked me to photograph their day, I was so honored and excited. I live in Colorado and love the mountains, but deep down I’m a beach girl through and through! Something about the salty air and piña coladas help me to do my best work (kidding… kind of).
The couple started the day hanging out with their people and getting ready! My first stop was to hang out with the groomsmen. What’s a wedding in Mexico without Dos Equis?
Then, I went to Ashley’s ocean view suite! Imagine waking up here and then getting ready for your wedding day with your best friends… a dream!
Inspired by her love for Taylor Swift, Ashley made friendship bracelets for everyone, which was such a fun and meaningful detail. I still have mine!
The couple shared their first look under the palm trees, which was so magical. Then, we got to wander around the resort and take some more photos! Breathless Riviera Cancun is beautifully designed and boasts so many great spots for photos.
It’s hard to pick just a few photos to share of these two. Also, that bouquet? I just love how simple, elegant and romantic it is.
The wedding party brought the energy all day long and so did everyone at the resort! I’ll never forget walking through the resort hearing everyone cheer as the couple walked passed by.
Jackson and Ashley chose the perfect ceremony setting for a Cancun wedding: right next to the water as the sun was setting. I can feel the ocean breeze and golden sun when I look at these photos!

The reception took place on a rooftop overlooking the ocean because that’s just how you do it when you get married in Mexico! All of the details were so beautiful. I remember geeking out because the sunset tones paired so beautifully with the floral color palette! It was all timed perfectly.
It was incredibly easy to celebrate these two all day long!
