Denver, Colorado Elopement

When Jessica and Frank reached out to me about photographing their elopement, I was PUMPED! They knew they wanted urban vibes, something intimate and for their dog, Pepper, to sign their marriage license. Count me in!

We started our evening at the courthouse so that, after 10 years together, these two could tie the knot! The wonderful thing about eloping in Denver is that you can do it anywhere and your dog really can be your witness. You don’t actually have to go inside the courthouse to get married. So the two exchanged their vows and rings on the steps of the courthouse!

Then, it was Pepper’s time to shine! Something about that little paw print on the marriage license makes me emotional.

After Jessica and Frank said “I do,” we headed to Larimer square for more photos. Since the couple is from Washington, I thought this was a great spot to stop for photos. Nothing screams “we eloped in Colorado” like the flags that hang over Larimer square.

Pro tip: Elope on a weekday! These two got married on a Wednesday and it was wonderful because we didn’t have to deal with crowds when taking photos.

This Denver, Colorado elopement was so fun because it really felt like we were just running around the city, having the best time! Our timeline was relaxed and gave space for Jessica and Frank to take it all in.

Our next stop was a parking garage with killer views of the city.

Heart shaped sunglasses, a champagne pop and that golden sunset light. Take notes, people! This is what downtown elopement dreams are made of.

And of course, it’s not a Denver elopement without Little Man Ice Cream! This was such a sweet way to end their elopement. The couple loves ice cream and they wanted to be able to include Pepper. So, the three of them shared a cone! Pepper was so tired from all of our adventures and fell asleep in her mom’s arms. I’m not crying, you’re crying.

This elopement was so intimate and fun! I feel so honored that I got to witness Jessica and Frank’s union. Cheers to the Jacobo’s!!
