Outdoor Winter Engagement Photos
I know it may seem intimidating to brave the cold temps for that dreamy, snowy session you saw on Pinterest, but trust me when I say…. It’s worth it! Mack , Gage and their dog, Scout, are here to bring you all the inspiration for outdoor winter engagement photos.
Mack and Gage are originally from Florida, but they have learned to love winters here in Colorado. I get to photograph their wedding this fall and was so excited when they decided they wanted to do some snowy engagement photos! Snow on its own is beautiful, but pair it with some tall pines and mountain peaks, and you really can’t go wrong!
I met up with the couple in Breckenridge, Colorado on a December afternoon. And yes, it was cold! But just look at these photos. It was so worth it! Plus, when you’re cold, it makes it even easier to snuggle up with your partner for some intimate shots.
This session was fun, laid back and full of so much joy! Mack and Gage could not stop smiling which was so sweet to see and document. I love love!
Some of my favorite shots are with Scout in the back of their car! This is an example of how we can get creative at your engagement session. These three often spend time in the car driving to the mountains to go skiing! If you have something that’s important or a part of your relationship, let’s document it! Also, the car helped block some of the cold wind, haha.
I loved what Mack and Gage chose for their outfits! The colors look so good against the snowy backdrop. And, they weren’t absolutely freezing. It may be tempting to wear a dress or something that shows skin for your outdoor winter engagement photos, but my best advice is to try and dress for the weather (at least for one of your outfits). You will be more comfortable, which will make for more natural photos!
Can we take a moment to admire Mack’s ring? I love celebrating my couples during this fun season and hyping those fat rocks up. Take notes, people!
I had the best time running around with these three in the snow! I can’t wait to document their wedding day this September!
