Sunrise Wedding Photos

Terri and Logan decided to elope in Bailey, Colorado and I’m so glad they did. You can’t go wrong with wedding photos in the mountains.

Sunrise Wedding

It was a beautiful June morning and the air was a crisp 40 degrees. I met the couple at the cabin they were staying at. It was complete with a wood burning fireplace and a hot tub- a dream! These photos prove you can get epic wedding photos without hiking. All the couple had to do was walk to the end of the driveaway for these views! Talk about a relaxing wedding week.

Terri and Logan made their union official later in the day, but I had the honor of capturing some sweet moments for them as the sunlight warmed up the mountains. If you’re considering sunrise wedding photos, do it! I’m a sunset lover through and through, but man there is something special about sunrise photos. The air is crisp, the birds are chirping and the light just keeps getting better as it shines through the trees.  Plus, you have the whole day to just be together afterwards.

The bride rocked an emerald green dress that paired beautifully with her ring and tattoo. I absolutely loved Terri’s look. The way the bright morning light shone through the dark fabric was magical. The contrast of the bright summertime greens was another plus. Obviously, I’m a big fan.

Terri and Logan were laid back and truly down for anything, which made for some great photos. Since it was just the two of them, they could focus on each other and the moment they were in. Elopements are special on their own for that reason, but coupled with the stillness of a new morning, it was extra special.

I was going to tell you which photos from this session are my favorite, but I just can’t choose! I love the road photos because there adventurous. I love the photos amongst the trees because of the magical morning light. They’re all wonderful in their own way.

I hope you’re convinced that sunrise wedding photos are a good idea- I know I am. Cheers to Logan and Terri!
