Lionsgate Event Center Wedding
From a thrifted wedding dress, to sharing a burger as husband and wife, Justine and Thayne’s wedding was unique and completely them.
The couple had their fall wedding at Lionsgate Event Center. I was a big fan of this venue because not only are there a variety of spaces that can be rented out for a wedding, but there is also so many great spots for photos! The venue set the stage for a perfect wedding day for Justine and Thayne.
If one thing was evident on October 14th, 2022, it was that these two were SO excited to get married. I remember hanging out with Justine as she got her wedding dress on- she was absolutely giddy!
The couple was so excited about having a traditional first look at their ceremony, so we made sure they didn’t see each other before hand, but still got to take some photos! The anticipation and excitement leading up to the ceremony was so sweet to witness.
The ceremony was held under the shade of a tree, as the sun began to set. It was the perfect fall day! I’ll let these photos speak for themselves.
Justine’s uncle officiated the ceremony and he kept us all on our toes. When it came time to pronounce them as husband and wife, he said something to the effect of “this wedding is brought to you by the state of Colorado and Coors Light.” Then a handful of people in the audience (that he had planted) cracked open their Coors cans. It got a good laugh from everyone! Then, Justine and Thayne were officially MARRIED!
These golden hour portraits are some of my favorite photos ever. That light! Their joy! It doesn't get better than this.
As the sun was setting, we used our last bit of light for some wedding party and family photos. I love the moody tones in these!
If you aren’t doing a first look, but still want lots of couple’s photos, don’t be afraid of some flash portraits! I love the look of these and the variety it gave to Justine and Thayne’s final gallery.
I thought the day couldn’t get any better, but it did! Justine, Thayne and their people know how to celebrate. The couple had their reception in the Dove House, which is within the Lionsgate Event Center!
One thing Justine really wanted on her wedding day was to share a burger with her husband. She didn’t think it was going to happen, but her mom made sure it did. She walked up to the sweetheart table, burger in hand for the bride and groom. Justine was so surprised and so excited!
There were so many unique parts to this day, but one of my favorites is that Justine, yes the bride, made all of the cakes they had for dessert. AND instead of doing a cake cutting, the couple did a candle blowing, which was literally so cute. Who else wants in on this fun idea?!
After the candle blowing…. It was time to DANCE! And boy did they dance. I had the best time capturing all the energy on the dance floor!
This Lionsgate Event Center wedding was one for the books. Cheers to Justine and Thayne forever!!
