Wedding at Sylvan Dale Guest Ranch & Wedding Venue

If you’re looking for inspiration for an elegant ranch wedding, you have to see this wedding at Sylvan Dale Guest Ranch & Wedding Venue! From horses, to iconic dress changes, this day just kept getting better and better.

Brittany and Ryan lucked out with about as perfect of a day you can ask for in February! There was snow which made for a dreamy landscape, but the sun was shinning and it was just warm enough that you didn’t need a winter coat. The sky was a beautiful blue that contrasted the snow so beautifully!

This wedding had two things I have never seen at a wedding before: shotgun shell wedding bands and a barber on site. 

The couple’s bands didn’t make it on time, so one of their friends made temporary bands out of shotgun shells in the parking lot. I thought it was so sweet that their friends came together to create something for them to wear! And, there was a barber at the venue giving all of the guys fresh haircuts! 

Now, prepare yourself for some of the most iconic wedding portraits! As we were taking Brittany and Ryan’s photos, we were all freaking out. Ryan rocked an all black suit and Brittany pulled off an incredible western look. I mean, look at that hat!

Then, as if it couldn’t get better, some horses came by! Brittany has horses of her own, so it was so sweet to see her interact with them. This is what happens when you get married on a ranch!

Sylvan Dale Guest Ranch & Wedding Venue has spaces for both indoor and outdoor ceremonies. Brittany and Drake had a cozy ceremony inside complete with a fireplace! It was the perfect spot for a winter wedding. 

Then, it was time to celebrate! The couple had their reception inside the same room as the ceremony. The candle lit atmosphere was romantic and warm on a winter day!

Brittany made (yes, made) different tops to pair with her wedding dress. After rocking the first one with the high neck and lace, she changed into another one that showed off the back of her dress! I loved the variety.

Brittany and Ryan’s family and friends gave some sweet and thoughtful toasts! I always love listening to the heartfelt words shared on a wedding day.

Then, it was time for the newlyweds to share their first dance! Look at how happy these two are. 

Don’t let the idea of a winter wedding scare you! It can be elegant, cozy and celebratory, just like this day was.
