Sapphire Point Wedding
Colorado has beautiful views almost everywhere you look, but one of my favorite views is at Sapphire Point in Breckenridge! It’s ever changing as each season brings different colors, which is something I love about it. I’m so excited to share this snowy Sapphire Point wedding with you!
When Robyn and Josh chose October 27th as their elopement date, I bet they were not expecting snow, but that’s what can happen when you get married in the Rocky Mountains! Although it was chilly, it was such a beautiful day. I love the way the snow looks against the green trees!
After Robyn put her wedding dress on in a changing tent in the parking lot (lol), it was time for Josh to see his bride! Look at that emotion… I love being a part of moments like this.
This is a great reminder that we can make a first look happen no matter where you’re getting married! If it’s important to you, I’m going to help make it happen.
This wedding was sweet because Robyn and Josh’s two daughters got to be included! It always warms my heart when kids get to be included in elopements.
If you are thinking about getting married at Sapphire Point, you will need a reservation, which can be made here. Sapphire Point is open to the public even when there is a wedding going on, so there may be people passing by on the trail. It can get pretty busy on the weekends, so I always suggest a weekday, if possible!
As these photos show, weather in the mountains can be unpredictable! When thinking about which month you’d like to get married in, make sure to research what the weather is like in the mountains. It could be 60 degrees and sunny in Denver while it’s snowing in Breckenridge!
After Robyn and Josh made it official, we took some more photos! Everyone braved the cold, and I think it was worth it. One of the reasons I love Sapphire Point is because there is more than one spot for great photos, not just at the overlook. It gives a nice variety in your final gallery!
When getting married in the mountains, be prepared to get your dress a little dirty! I always say, “a dirty dress is the sign of a good wedding day” because it means you were in the moment, not worrying too much about your dress staying white. Plus, what says “I got married in Colorado” like a little dirt on your dress in photos.
This Sapphire Point wedding was one I’ll always remember from fresh snowfall in October, to the way Josh looked at his bride. I’m forever grateful to be a part of moments like this!
