Engagement Session FAQs

  • You can take engagement photos at any time before your wedding date! If you are using the photos for an invite or save the date, decide when you need to have the card made and work backwards to determine when you need to do your session.

  • I’m happy to help with outfits! Feel free to text me photos before your session. I always suggest neutral colors. If you want more color, I’d suggest one color, so that is pops against the neutrals, without clashing. Check out my blog What to Wear for Engagement Photos for more tips!

  • Yes, I’d love to! We’ll brainstorm together and find a location you’re excited about. I typically start by asking these two questions:

    1. Do you lean more towards a natural or urban backdrop?

    2. Are there any experiences you want to include in your session? Ex: grabbing a coffee at your favorite shop, riding your bikes through the park, etc.

  • I require a signed contract and 50% deposit to lock in your session.

  • You will receive a sneak peek within one week and your final gallery within 4 weeks.

  • Yes, I would be honored to document your engagement session and wedding day! Working with the same photographer for both is a great way to feel confident going into your wedding day, because you will know what to expect from your photographer! Some of my wedding packages include an engagement session. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, we can always create a custom package that includes the session (:
